You become what you believe you are.

Understanding what you believe about yourself is a big step towards change.

Many people believe they are who they are and that they will never change.

They live with resentments and carry pains from the past. These people have a fixed mindset, believing they were born this way and will die this way. When people believe this, they halt their cognition and prevent their brain from functioning fully. ('Cognition' refers to the mental processes involved in gaining knowledge and understanding, including thinking, learning, perception, and memory.)

Many believe they are failures, that they will never change, that they do not love themselves, that they will never prosper financially, and that they were born to suffer.

The truth is, if your beliefs about yourself are not changed, you will become what you believe.

If you can no longer bear to be or live this life of mediocrity, both personally and professionally, it is necessary that you change your thoughts. Becoming someone different and free of past pains requires that you leave the past behind and also undergo a healing process.

Write down right now what you believe about yourself, from 1 to 10.

Now ask yourself why you believe this. Did someone tell you this or did you declare it about yourself?

Now write down who you want to be in the next 5 years.

Understanding what you believe about yourself is a big step towards change. This will make you realize the negative beliefs you hold about yourself and bring healthier and different ones to create a new version of yourself.
